The satirical comedy “Death of Stalin” tells about the political race in the struggle for power in the USSR due to the death of the leader of the nation in 1953. For many years the country has been ruled by a tyrannical general secretary. Due to this the inhabitants of the state live in fear, however now comes the happy day when Stalin dies. The great leader has fallen and the country needs change. This time is the best suited for the struggle for power, which includes Lawrence Beria, Nikita Khrushchev and George Zhukov.
So everyone seeks to take the place of the late leader, resorting to political tricks, intrigues and all possible ways to get what they want. Competitors are trying to win over the members of the Politburo and even Stalin’s children to get the necessary number of votes. In general, the race of the century has begun!
